Key Information
Familienbeihilfe Austria – What You Need to Know
Family benefits in Austria can be obtained regardless of whether you are receiving financial assistance in Poland. However, the Austrian benefit will be reduced by the amount of any benefits received in Poland. You can apply for this benefit retroactively
for up to five years, and residency in Austria is not required. Since 2019, an indexation rule has been in place that reduces the benefit amount for children living outside Austria, including in Poland, by adjusting it to the level of benefits in the child’s country of residence.
